Visiting this magnificent mosque was definitely one of the hoghlights of my trip to the United Arab Emirates. I was allowed to photograph everywhere I wanted as the Sheikh himself had decided on a photographic competition.

To be precise, it is 1048 artfully painted columns decorated with gold that carry the roof of the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
