Brest is a city located in the southwestern part of Belarus, near the border with Poland. It is known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and picturesque landscapes. For photography enthusiasts, Brest offers a plethora of stunning locations to capture the essence of the city. The Brest Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a popular spot for photographers, with its impressive fortifications and monuments. The city's historic center, with its charming streets and colorful buildings, is another great location for capturing the city's unique character. Additionally, the nearby Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, one of the last remaining primeval forests in Europe, offers breathtaking natural scenery and wildlife photography opportunities.

I photographed a number of these churches in Brest. I think they are so colourful.
One of the things I enjoyed most during my Spring trip to Belarus, was the lovely Orthodox churches. This is a close up of the Saint Nicolas Church in the centre of Brest. I was in a group tour, which is actually the enemy of any decent photography, but I will try to find some more images of this fascinating country which I consider worth posting here.
Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Brest!
Most notably Adelheid Smitt and Wallace.
