Cyprus, an island country in the eastern Mediterranean, is a photographer's paradise with its stunning landscapes, ancient ruins, and crystal-clear waters. From the picturesque coastal towns of Paphos and Limassol to the rugged Troodos Mountains, there are endless opportunities for capturing breathtaking images. The island is also home to a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the ancient city of Kourion and the Tombs of the Kings, providing photographers with a glimpse into Cyprus's rich history.
This lovely rock formation lies in the outermost south East corner of Cyprus. In the area many beautiful sea caves and other arches can be found. This is the best known one..I was lucky to be able to get the light of the setting sun shining right through the arch.
Sunset at this well known spot on the West coast of Cyprus. According to legend it is where Aphrodite was born out of sea foam. I was glad to be here out of season. For one it keeps the sunset closer to the rock, and more importantly, a cold February day does not bring out many tourists.

Cyprus offers a good number of beautiful coastal spots that can be very rewarding for Sunset photography. During my week in Cyprus I tried to find as many of them as I could, and the weather didn't always cooperate, but I did manage to come home with several Sunset shots that I am very pleased with. This one was taken on the West Coast of Cyprus, right next to the port area of Paphos. There were actually quite a number of people here, but miraculously none of them ventured to the area in front of my camera. Most were hanging around Paphos Castle behind me.
