Maritime Alps

The Maritime Alps, located in the southeastern region of France, are a stunning mountain range that offer breathtaking views and a variety of photography opportunities. With peaks reaching over 3,000 meters, the range is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including alpine flowers, chamois, and ibex. The area is also dotted with charming villages and towns, each with their own unique character and architecture. Photographers will find plenty of inspiration in the rugged landscapes, crystal-clear lakes, and picturesque villages. Some of the most popular photography locations in the Maritime Alps include the Mercantour National Park, the Gorges du Verdon, and the hilltop village of Gourdon.

Antibes
Antibes

Antibes, Cote d'Azur during sunrise. Last week I returned from a 16 day road trip through southern france. First I went to visit the Lavender fields around Valensole and the Verdon Canyon. I continued the journey in Cassis and from there went along the Cote d'Azur.

For my taste there are to many citys at the coast there and I enjoyed my time in the back country much more than the coast. But I couldn't resisit to explore the area a bit during sunrise. Then it's quite calm and I had those beautiful views for myself, as here in Antibes.

Here's a short video tutorial about how I combined two exposures in this photo: mibreit-photo.com/blog/2015/07/photography-tip-combining-...

Le Nomade
Le Nomade
by Arnaud Chatelet

The first time I wanted to take a picture of this structure, a little over a year ago, I arrived at the port of Antibes 1 hour before daybreak to realize that the structure was completely covered for renovation. A few months later, I had an appointment with my colleague, Antoine, to renew the nomadic operation early in the morning in order to benefit from a beautiful light. But this morning, we learned to our greatest despair that the site was closed due to regattas. On January 31 of this year, passing near the site, we decided to stop there for a few moments in the middle of the day to finally try to capture this famous nomad. Not being satisfied with the result, I went back there a fourth time and, after an hour and a half wait, I arrived at ... that. After this long palaver, I send you back to near ANTOINE ASARO for the description of this sculpture :)

La roche percée du Trayas - Var
La roche percée du Trayas - Var
by Arnaud Chatelet

Located between Mandelieu-la-Napoule and St Raphaël, the Trayas has the most beautiful wild coves of the Côte d'Azur. At the foot of the Esterel, a dozen creeks and small beaches follow one another in a wild setting that contrasts the red rocks, the green Mediterranean vegetation and the blue of the sea.

This bandstand is the gift of Count de Chambrun to his wife in the late 19th century. From 1890, it hosts many concerts. The monument inspired by the temple of Sibyl in Italy is built in white Carrara marble. It consists of twelve Corinthian columns and is twenty meters high. At its dome, there is the presence of a bronze sculpture and the words "Logos" (reason) and "Kosmos" (universe) engraved on the pediment.
