Honshu is the largest and most populous island in Japan, known for its stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and bustling cities. From the iconic cherry blossoms of Tokyo and Kyoto to the rugged mountains of the Japanese Alps, Honshu is a photographer's paradise. Some of the most popular photography locations on Honshu include the historic temples and shrines of Kyoto, the picturesque villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, and the stunning landscapes of Hakone and Mount Fuji.

Nijubashi(which means the "Dobule Bridge") is one of the most well-known bridges in Japan. If you are looking at the bridge from the front, the two separate bridges appear as a single two storied bridge.
Nijubashi bridge is only opened on special occasions such as for official state guests and for holding formal ceremonies at the Imperial Palace.

The Shiraito Waterfall is a very wide percolating series of weeping walls through moss and other foliage. It stretches for such a wide area that there was practically no a single shot could convey its scale.

The Jigokudani Monkey Park (地獄谷野猿公苑), located in Yamanouchi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan – often referred to as the Snow Monkey Park – is home to a very special troop of monkeys. Created in 1964, the park was established as a conservation area in which the monkeys would have a refuge within what was already their natural habitat. Once in the park, the naturally-curious monkeys observed humans using the hot spring (Onsen) of a nearby guesthouse and before long, started copying the behavior. The rest as they say, is history.
Asakusa Kannon Temple (Sensō-ji)

This Buddhist temple needs no introduction, it houses the goddess of mercy (known as Kannon in Japanese). Different from the Shinto Temples more commonly found in Japan. It is a must see tourist attraction in Tokyo. I visited it twice. During the day it was just flooded with tourist taking their snapshots and crowding the scene. I knew I had to return at blue hour where there were lesser tourists and the low light conditions allowed me to use a longer exposure, which blurs out the remaining few people that were left. One still have to be patient and wait for breaks between tourists posing for their own images. Although this location has been photographed millions of times before. The temple gates and pagoda are so beautifully lit, I just had to experience the joy of photographing it first-hand!

Kyoto old town after sunset, with Yasaka dori pagoda in the background. The street was very busy 5 minutes before, but I still had to use stops ND filter to delete people.
Zona antigua de Kioto después de la puesta de sol, con la pagoda Yasaka dori al fondo. La calle estaba muy transitada tan sólo 5 minutos antes, aún así tuve que usar un filtro ND de 6 pasos para acabar de borrar la gente.
