Lofoten is a picturesque archipelago located in the northern part of Norway. It is known for its stunning landscapes, dramatic mountains, and crystal-clear waters. The region is a paradise for photographers, offering a plethora of breathtaking locations to capture. From the iconic fishing villages of Reine and Hamnøy to the rugged peaks of Moskenesøya, Lofoten is a photographer's dream come true. The region is also famous for its Northern Lights, which can be seen from September to April.
Hamnøy is a small fishing village in Lofoten Islands. The red colored fishermen huts have been coverted into cabins for tourists. We stayed in one of them for 3 nites.
Morning in the Lofoten. These yellow houses contrast so nicely with the blue-green of the water and the white of the snow on the mountains.

Hamnoy.
Normally, by early May I would be packing my bags, looking forward to working another Summer season in Norway and Scandinavia, guiding tourists around and showing them the beauty of those countries. So it feels strange to be at home with no plans to head north in the near future. Last year I did a new tour for my company to the Lofoten islands. This is a photographers paradise, and even though I was working I was still able to catch this lovely view of Sakrisøya on a beautiful August day. Four years ago I got a winter shot here: www.flickr.com/photos/adelheids-pictures/26078807660
Probably one of the most photographed views in Norway, one of which I previously posted a winter version. Driving by there last summer during my tour work, I couldn't resist stopping and taking another shot.

This spot has good photographic memories for me. The evening before this sunrise I witnessed some great Auroras and in the morning the sky turned a fiery pink over Olstinden mountain. And all this could be witnessed right from the balcony of our cottage.

Catedral de madera construida a finales del siglo XIX, es una de las más grandes del norte de Noruega.
Sakrisoy is another fishing village next to Hamnoy.
Pueblo de las islas Lofoten considerado por los propios noruegos el más bonito de su país. Había que ir a comprobar si era cierto.
Winter 2019
This was probably the most spectacular view I could have from my hotel window! Just after midnight the light show started, and what made it even more special was the way the full moon illuminated the iconic Lofoten mountain, Olstinden.

Pink color of light has made this small fishing village as paradise during morning hours.
Blue hour at Hamnoy. Our hotel is on this small beautiful village.

Reine. Este dia madrugamos y lo empezamos con una buena caminata subiendo a un punto alto.
Pretty much everyone who has been to the Lofoten islands has taken this shot. It is easy, you can even see it on Google streetview. So, for a long time I wondered whether I should post mine, and today finally decided to do it. This was taken in the morning with still some colour in the clouds. Soon after everything was covered in rain and greyness. I hope to return sometime and maybe capture it in combination with Northern Lights.
This red, wooden church in the town of Gravdal in Lofoten Islands was built in 1905.
This winter I will head up to Northern Norway again, and I hope Lady Aurora will present herself as beautifully again, like she did here in the Lofoten. It was a full moon night, hence the white clouds and the shadows of the mountain. The photo was taken from the balcony of my accommodation.
