Vestland is a region located on the western coast of Norway, known for its stunning natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. With its rugged mountains, deep fjords, and cascading waterfalls, Vestland offers a wealth of opportunities for photographers to capture breathtaking images. Some of the most popular photography locations in Vestland include the iconic Trolltunga rock formation, the majestic Sognefjord, and the picturesque village of Flåm.
A clear evening view over the lovely Norwegian city of Bergen. This requires a bit of luck as Bergen has the reputation of being the rainiest city in Europe.

The lovely village of Laerdal, that lies on the shores of the Sognefjord. The old town houses are reflected in the village pond.

A pretty reflection on Bergheimsvatnet with Eggjenibba pointed mountain in the background.

A perfect reflection in Lake Oppstryn with clouds that look like they are fanning out from the top of the mountain. Just after taking this picture a very mild breeze picked up and immediately destroyed the reflection.
Another view from my hotel window. This is from the beautiful Alexandra Hotel in Loen, right by the Nordfjord.
A short while ago I posted the 'famous' view of Bergen, the Hanseatic Quay. This was taken from the same spot, but looking a little further to the right. Here we look towards the fish market and the funicular up to Mount Fløyen.
This is one of those classic Norwegian views that I really wanted to photograph. Finally, this Summer I had a chance to go there. The reflections weren't quite as perfect as I would have liked, so I might be returning there some time for another go.

It has been way too long since I posted anything of my favourite country. This was taken almost exactly 3 years ago when Jølstravatn was the calmest I have ever seen it. I still hope I can redo this shot at some point with nicer clouds and weather.

This farm, near Odda, looks like it sits on a small island on the South end of Sandvin Lake. It isn't actually an island but you need a bridge to get there. The light was just right when I passed this spot late afternoon on the way to Låtefoss.

Otra de las iglesias de madera típicas de los países escandinavos. La de Hopperstad se construyó hacia 1130.
