Ascensor da Bica is a historic funicular railway in Lisbon, Portugal, that has been in operation since 1892. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, offering a unique and scenic way to travel up and down the steep hills of the Bica neighborhood. The area around the funicular is also a great spot for photography, with its colorful buildings, narrow streets, and stunning views of the Tagus River. Some of the best photography locations in the area include the Miradouro de Santa Catarina, the Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, and the Largo do Calhariz.
Beside the well known Tram Line Nr. 28, this very steep and short one in the "Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo" is the most spectacular one for me. A great scenery in the background and two cars driving every 15 minutes. Great place to shoot Lisbon trams.
