HOUSE ON THE ROCK
Serbia - Tara National Park - Lonely house perched on a rock in the middle of the Drina River

How often do you get to see something like this? I’m still in that mood and working on the photos from my home country. It is as difficult as it is exciting to go through all this memories, a lot of mixed feelings and emotions running through my head. “What if” this and “What if” that :) It’s difficult to describe how it feels to live an ocean away from all the friends and family. But I’m glad that this time I was able to bring back with me some of those experiences and try to translate them with my work. This beautiful house have a long history and it was taken down by the raging water a few times during the big floods in that area. Despite everything, people from that town always managed to put it back together so they can continue to enjoy it. Unfortunately I was there a little after the sunset and had to go with this moody dusk look. What do you think?

TRUE SOUL
Bajina Basta
by Nenad Spasojevic

How excited are you for the upcoming fall colors? To be honest with you nothing excites me more. The taught that I will be spending every free moment surrounded by nature in the next month gives me chills! With all that being said I’m coming back to my ongoing series from Serbia, and this beautiful vista from mountain Tara. This shot was taken while chasing the light downhill from Tara to Bajna Basta. One of the most exciting days on my trip to Serbia. That day we traveled over 370mil (600km) crossing some of the most beautiful landscapes from sunrise to sunset. I can say for sure that one can spend a lifetime just photographing these mountains. This is classic Serbian village and the rolling hills of Serbia. What do you think?

he building was built on piles, because previously the bed of the Begeja creek was located in that area. It is not known who built it, but it is known that in one period in the 19th century, it was owned by Dr. Pavle Demko. In the 19th century, the hotel "Pešta" was located in the building, and in the hotel room number 6, in 1872, the first weekly newspaper "Torontal" began its work.
