Angry face in the sky
New Street Station
by Clive Griffiths

When they built the new Grand Central plaza above New Street Station in Birmingham, I wonder if they intended to put one of Miyazaki's monsters in the sky? Perhaps the angry face is there to subdue stroppy toddlers so their parents can get on with spending money in the mall! If you don't know who Hayao Miyazaki is, give your eyes a treat and watch Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle - and it might also give you a clue about what I have been wittering on about....

Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Birmingham!
Most notably Clive Griffiths.
