San Mateo is a charming city located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Known for its beautiful parks, historic architecture, and vibrant downtown, San Mateo is a popular destination for photographers looking to capture the essence of Northern California. From the stunning views of the San Francisco Bay to the lush greenery of Central Park, San Mateo offers a variety of photography locations that are sure to inspire any photographer.
This image was taken on the Ralston Avenue Bike Trail Bridge, which situated at northbound of Interstate 280 and interchange State Route 92 in San Mateo, California. When the heavy clouds almost covered the north of peninsula of San Francisco in the twilight, only here was quite clear that let me had an opportunity to shoot traffic light trails under the beautiful sunset sky. But it was windy and chilly, temperature about 55℉/13℃ in the early evening although in summer.
Thank you for taking time to view this photo, wishing you a great day/night wherever you are.
View from Seal Point, San Mateo, Northern California
According to Google Map’s calculation, from my photo location to downtown San Francisco, the distance is about 18.8 miles. Of course, if viewed from above the San Francisco Bay directly, it would be shorter than that. On a cloudy day afternoon, this harmony of the seas scenery is a touching sense of sight for me.
Thanks a lot for your visit, wishing you a great and joyful weekend!
Thanks to all Phoide contributors to San Mateo!
