Took this shot on our way back from the beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park on the stunning Scenic Byway 12. We left quite early, just after sunrise to make sure to see the sights of this beautiful road during good light. On our way to Capitol Reef national park came across these majestic mountains on the horizon and I was hoping to get a good foreground interest to anchor my shot. Since we just had a snow storm, there was a good bit of everywhere except the main road, so venturing away was out of the question. Finally, after a bit of driving, we came across this grove of frozen trees. I used a longer focal length to take this shot and was trying to get a feel for the cold we felt there.

Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Fishlake National Forest!
