Preciosa ciudad bañada por el mar Adriático. Durante siglos perteneció a la República de Venecia, que dejó una impronta evidente en su arquitectura. Tras la Primera Guerra Mundial esta zona le fue asignada a Italia, posteriormente formó parte de Yugoslavia y, finalmente, en 1991 Eslovenia pasó a ser un país independiente.

The coastal village of Piran, is perhaps one of the prettiest in Slovenia. The soft pastel colours, the harbour and the Venetian Tower make it very attractive to photograph. On this particular evening a wonderful pink glow came over the town at sunset.
