Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore

In the heart of silence
In the heart of silence
by Hilde Jüngst

Ancient monastery of San Zeno's cathedral, in Verona. One of the most important masterpieces of romanic art in Italy, and perhaps in Europe too. Built in 9th century, reconstructed in 12th. In this convent, the transition from romanic (round arches on the right) to gothic architecture (pointed arches on the left) is clear.

Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore!
Most notably Hilde Jüngst.
