...la bien nommée!
Along the foot path to the Pertusato lighthouse you find this stunning views back towards the town and the white limestone cliffs.
..avec le célèbre cairn Herrouesque!
Probably the most famous place and a highlight of every Corsica trip. The spectacular location, high on the white limestone cliffs next to the azure blue sea and the important natural harbor attract tourists en masse in the summer months. Here you can see a panorama of the northern part of the town, the entrance to the natural harbor and the medieval old town. (Haute Ville).

The beach of "Saint-Antoine", south of Bonifacio, can be reached on foot in about one and a half hour's hike. Along the winding path you'll find breathtaking views on to the white sandstone cliffs. The place is framed by bizarre cliffs and full of striking rock formations washed out by the stormy seas. In the background you can see the lighthouse of Pertusato.
Tonnara Beach is located 10 kilometers north of Bonifacio on the way to Propriano. At this season it's a really quiet place with just a few houses, 2 restaurants and kilometers of lonely beaches and bizzar rock formations. The perfect place to relax.
A quiet evening by the sea in Tonnara beach near Bonifacio Korsika.

Last one 😄. Another version of the stunning cliffs of Bonifacio at sunset.
I came to this awesome spot at the cliffs twice that week, with high hopes to get a dramatic sunset. Sadly there were hardly any colors in the sky that evening and the cliffs were drowned in complete shadow. The soft orange tone from this shot soon faded into complete grey and the sun vanished long before actual sunset. In spite ......a fantastic place for a sundowner.
Despite the spectacular colors of this sunset, to be seen in the previous shot, I thought this rock formation would look nice in black & white. Hope you agree.
A colorful sunset at Tonnara beach. The perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Corsican landscape in complete loneliness.....but only at that season.
That was a calm evening in Bonifacio on Good Friday two years ago. The walls of the the medieval old town where illuminated in popping colors. I took a few shots from the harbor at blue hour before we headed up to the "Haut Ville" to watch the annual Easter procession.
