Pegasus Bridge is a bascule bridge in commune Bénouville on the Caen Canal, between Caen and Ouistreham. Bridge was built in 1994 as a replacement of the original bridge from 1934. The battle of the bridge (Operation Deadstick, part of Operation Tonga) was the first battle of the D-Day.
