Fog or no fog? That is always a good question. I say YES! After an exhausting day at work I was tempted to stay at home and get some rest, but… I just couldn’t resist the temptation to go out and try to catch couple of more angles from the frozen river bed. The temperature went up really fast that day and I was afraid that I will miss a chance to capture what I wanted before ice melts away. To my big surprise the fog was rolling in slowly and I was ecstatic to be there to capture it. What do you think?

So how did the weekend go? I didn’t have much luck photography wise to be honest. I made an attempt to capture some images but it did not work out so I got lazy and spend some time recharging my mental batteries. This is the river shot taken from the Wyndham Hotel. What do you think?
How did it go? Yesterday was not that chaotic, surprisingly, so on the brighter note I will go back to the last weeks supermoon rise. I strongly feel that events like this one should actually draw our full attention. Not that often, if ever, some of us get to see sun rushing down on one side of the river and supermoon soaring up on the other, while both equally cast their light on the city! So for those of you who might never experience something like this, take a moment and enjoy. What do you think?
Are you obsessed with photography? I’m bordering that line very often because it is literally the only way to relax my head from all day stress. For this post I have an older shot from the downtown area. Almost 4 years have passed since I arrived and I’m still very much scouting every corner of the Chicago to find some new perspectives and places to photograph. I’ve noticed this spot that winter I arrived and I had to wait till spring for this fountain to be filled with water so I can capture this reflection. This fountain is empty for only a week before they put a ton of plants in it and after that this scene is gone till the next year. What do you think?

Are they still around? Well, probably not anymore. It sure was fun seeing them around the town. But now after seeing what’s in front of us, weather wise, I believe that moments like this will be rare this month. It looks like we will all be happy if we see some color by the end of it. LOST IN THOUGHTS How do you guys feel today? I hope you are all good! I know that the photography theme here in Chicago last week was shooting the Chicago henge and I kinda wrapped myself in it. While practicing social distancing, and keeping a safe distance a friend and I went out in attempt to capture that light from a different perspective. Sun was blasting the golden light straight up the river that morning for sure! What do you think?
Did you catch it? After the first attempt to catch the super moon rise behind the lighthouse failed, due to thick clouds, we quickly ran in to town to try a different vantage point. Clouds were moving quickly so by the time we got in the city we had a clear view. This is one of the frames I captured than night while the golden sunlight illuminating Marina Towers and the moon.. Are you ready to freeze for a view like this? That’s exactly what we did that night and at the very start of the evening we thought that London House terrace was a good starting point but since the sunset wasn’t spectacular we decided to come down and try to find some good compositions from the river. Ultra wide lens was a great option to fit the entire scene in the frame and use the ice blocks as a leading lines in this instance. I’m glad that we walked away with a few keepers and freezing wasn’t for nothing. What do you think?
"The photographers dream", you heard that one before, right? I know that most of us plan things when it comes to photography. The technique, timing, execution and patience are crucial when it comes to our craft? But every once in a while everything just boils down to pure luck! This is one of the few shots from the series that I took all at the same evening. When so many elements come together so harmoniously at the same time on the few different locations, is a definition of the photographers dream! I never expect to get more than one good shot when I go out but when something so improbable happens it renders you speechless. What do you think?
How did it go? So here we are at the beginning of another week after a fun weekend. After shooting for the moon last nigh, we had one failed attempt and one relatively successful. Images are coming soon. For now I will leave you with some good light. What do you think?

Time fly’s when you are having fun, righT? What a weekend. I didn’t get to have this much fun in a while. I’m still under impression. The only bad thing is that is already over and I’m back to the usual routine. This is a random shot that I ended up liking very much. I guess it’s because it really felt like spring. Good morning/day to you, hope your week is going well? Here in Chicago we are anticipating Spring Equinox. Shooting in the city all the days coming up to it, and after it really gets fun. Deep defined shadows, strong pronounced highlights and sharp angles, it’s a dream for architecture photography. What do you think?
Do you remember a warmer Christmas? I sure don’t but it felt great. And on top all of that we had a few top notch sunsets and sunrises. This is the image from yesterdays sunrise. The sky was on fire! If interested to see how it looked you can check out the time-lapse in my stories. Vibrant colors almost looked unreal. What do you think?
It’s all about fun, right? This and image shot form Wyndham’s hotel in downtown Chicago. It was a night well spent and I really wanted to capture this frame from this perspective. Shooting from this location was highly anticipated and I was prepared to wait as much as it takes to get this frame. My OCD was never really fully satisfied with the obstructed views from London House :) What do you think?
LONDON HOUSE How did you kick off the start of this week? I’m still hoping and waiting to see some fall color in the city! But until that happens I’m back and shooting cityscapes. I’m contemplating for a long time how to shoot the views from a London House terrace. For those who don’t know, that is a luxury hotel at the riverfront in Chicago. Since it’s accessible for anybody who is willing to pay for a drink at the rooftop bar it was a challenge to find a different perspective from that spot. Besides waiting for the right weather conditions the bar is always crowded. Since it’s getting colder there is not much people there so this was the perfect time for me to explore the terrace and enjoy that drink in peace and all while happy hour is on ( every Monday and Tuesday :) What do you think?
