Built almost 200 years ago Cleadon Mill was one of over a hundred windmills in the North East of England, mostly scattered along the coast. ... The current Mill is said to have been built in the 1820's for the Reverend George Cooper Abbs of Abbs House and Cleadon Hall in Cleadon Village
