The walk up Cadair Idris is a killer :-) whoever told me it was easier than Snowdon is a liar! On a more serious the note the last two times I've been landscape togging in Wales (both Mondays) the USAF have blitzed the Mach Loop with F15s so as I'm off work this coming Monday do I go for landscape or sit on the side of a hill and hope?

Cadair Idris
Llyn Cau
by Clive Griffiths

Cadair Idris as seen from about halfway up Mynydd Moel, looking directly into Cwm Cau. The view (left to right) includes Craig Lwyd; the Pencoed Pillar and the obvious point of Craig Cau rising directly from Llyn Cau; and then finally the great bulk of Pen y Gadair just visible through the mist. Cadair Idris is one of Wales' great mountains, not quite 3000 feet high, but always a wonderful day out. Go on - zoom in and have a look around.
