... with Manarola in the distance. Corniglia is the 'quiet' middle village that sits atop a 100m-high rocky promontory surrounded by vineyards. It is the only Cinque Terre settlement with no direct sea access.
This may be my favorite shot of Corniglia because the D800 sensor captures so much more detail than the crop sensor D7100.... check out the fields beside the village.
Another hand held pano of Corniglia, as seen from the track to Vernazza, much higher on the surrounding mountains... I'm loving the red tree in the foreground.
Another view of Manarola as seen from the coastal track leading to Corniglia.... the setting sun almost acts as a spotlight on the village, as a storm approaches...
Hand held panorama of Corniglia, Liguria, Italy. This is the third of the Cinque Terre villages situated in the center of the five, as seen from the trail between Corniglia and Vernazza.... Manarola can be seen in the distance....
the hilltop Italian town... with Manarola in the background.
Another atypical view of the iconic Cinque Terre villages in Italy. This pano was captured from the terraced fields above the village of Manarola....
Hand held pano of Corniglia (Cinque Terre, Italy) as seen while hiking from Manarola. The sun can be seen bursting through the storm clouds, lighting up the landscape on the right.
Storm over Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy as seen from the trail between Manarola and Corniglia...
... here's a panoramic view of the Cinque Terre coast, as seen from Monterossa al Mare.... featuring Vernazza mid left, Corniglia mid frame and finally, Manarola and Riomaggiore in the distance on the right
