Buses maneuvering carefully on a mountain road near Piana, Corsica, France. UNESCO WH Site.
Looks nice in Lightbox, but even better at Original...
Short after sunset in Corsica with view of Golfe de Girolata. It was a wonderful evening and a good reward for the hours of driving through the winding corse roads that day. It's really no fun going up and down in serpentines for hours on those small roads. The views are a good compensation for this though :-)
In post I had to do some focus stacking of three different focused shots. I shot this at 25mm and f/9,5 and there was no way to get everything as sharp as I wanted with just one shot.
-- Many techniques I show in my Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial were used in this shot. There's a long section about focus stacking in the tutorial for those interested.
A little hike brings you to this beautiful outcrop in the Calanche Region of Corsica. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the possible compositions and all the rocks and when the sun appeared again under the clouds I stuck with this one. I'm not 100% happy but the 4/5 crop looks quite ok with the strong center.
I used a lee 0.6 soft and a lee 0.6 hard gnd here. I also had to employ some focus stacking to get foreground to background sharp at f/11. Same technique as in my start2finish tutorial.
cheers

Wonderful light at golfo di girolata, corsica. I went for a panorama here, stitched two horizontal shots to get more detail. I also needed bracketing since the light was so intense.
I still have to sort through the photos of this trip but there's a lot more to come :-)
cheers
Got inspired by U2's 1986 Joshua Tree album cover during the processing of this shot, hence the title.
