We waited till it was nearly dark. We had a clear sky and the full moon lit the bridge. I enhanced a bit the light on the bridge to obtain a bigger contrast between the bridge and its environnement.

A clear sky didn't look too promising for a nice sunrise shot, well, until I saw the blood red sun rise out of the sea. Difficult to photograph but amazingly beautiful to see, and I hope I managed to convey that here.
This bridge was on my wishlist for several years. It' the longest bridge in the Netherlands and was build between 1963 and 1965.
Third time I went to this bridge. Wanted to take some more different views of it. This time we had some nice cloudformations and, a little wind, and a fantastic sunset. Just perfect for the long exposure shots.

This is the second time I went to the Zeeland bridge in a short period. I absolutely wanted to go to the other side to catch some sunset shots. Here is the result. The wind stood completely still in the evening. It is a 6min long exposure and the clouds didn't move at all.
This image, taken on January 1st, represents quite well the mixed feelings i have looking into 2019. Being an optimist i tend to believe that this...
The "Plompe Toren" is the last remnant of the village of Koudekerke that disappeared in the waves, in the 16th century.
Remember, a while ago, I posted a composed astrophotography shot. So here I am with my real first tryout. I went to the Zeeland bridge with a friend, we were prepared for it. This location isn’t the best for that, too much light pollution, but it is ok for a start. Luckily I had my Haida Clear Night Filter, which made it possible to filter a part of the light pollution. After a few calculations, I normally should have taken the shots at 30s, but I saw there was too much ambient light. I decided to try it with 15s. I still have many stars. I composed 150 shots to obtain the star trails, I’m happy with the result. Also, I never make shots without thinking about my framing, which makes a medium shot a little bit better. And to finish this result, we took an extra shot with some red light on the bridge. Woohoow. All negative comments are welcome, I still have a lot to learn in this kind of photography. It was a great experience, the magic happens when you step out of your comfort zone.

Every time I go to the zeeland bridge, I always have a complete different atmosphere. The sun was just under, water was pretty calm. What a splendid reflection.

From this tower you have an amazing view on the "Prunje". Wonderful man-made new wet nature. Please click to ENLARGE. Thank you in advance.
The Zeeland Bridge is a popular photo spot. It is a 5km bridge connecting two of the islands of the province of Zeeland. I had an idea of taking a b/w photo, but was actually hoping for some fog. However, the day was incredibly clear. I still went for the b/w but decided to add an element of colour, hence the yellow buoy. Between the pylons of the bridge you can clearly see the church tower of Zierikzee at 8,5 kms distance.

The Zeelandbrug spans the Oosterschelde estuary and is with 5,022 metres the longest bridge in the Netherlands. It was built between 1963 and 1965. ...
The shorelines of the Oosterschelde are a source of inspiration for me.
The light on both sides of the jetty and in the sky, was for me a wonder of nature. I' m glad that i am the messenger of that wonderful moment....
