Fitz Roy
Fitz Roy is a stunning mountain located in the Santa Cruz Province of Argentina. It is a popular destination for photographers due to its unique shape and the stunning landscapes that surround it. The mountain is part of the Andes range and stands at an impressive 3,405 meters tall. The area around Fitz Roy is home to several photography locations, including Laguna de los Tres, which offers a breathtaking view of the mountain and its surrounding glaciers. Other popular spots include Laguna Torre, which offers a stunning view of the mountain reflected in the lake, and Piedra del Fraile, which offers a unique perspective of the mountain from a lower elevation.
Monte Fitz Roy is a mountain in Patagonia, on the border between Argentina and Chile. It is located in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, near El Chaltén village and Viedma lake.
Chaltén comes from a Tehuelche (Aonikenk) word meaning "smoking mountain", due to a cloud that usually forms around the mountain's peak. Fitz Roy, however, was only one of a number of peaks the Tehuelche called Chaltén.

Tras una extenuante excursión para subir hasta la base del Chaltén (más conocido como Fitz Roy) la visibilidad era nula y el chasco enorme. La laguna de los Tres recibe este nombre en honor a los tres montañeros franceses que por primera vez escalaron el Fitz Roy en 1952.
