Gardens by the Bay East

Bay East Garden Marina Bay Singapore

This shot is taken at the Marina East park which can be accessed via Tanjong Rhu View or Marina Barrage by walking across the bridge. It is not advisable to park at the Marina Barrage during the blue hours as it requires you to walk through a construction site and the gate is open to the public only from 7 am to 7 pm. I learnt that the hard way, left stranded after my phootshoot, I had to walk to Tanjong Rhu before hopping into a taxi back to Marina Barrage to retrieve the car. However, a view like this is definitely worth the inconvenience!

This is shot with my new Canon 5D mark II, great camera but I require more practice to get it perfect. Expect more 'awesome' shots in the future :)

A beautiful view accompanied with a terrific sunset was setting for this shot. The only downside it seems was the lack of lights on the buildings.

The ECP or East Coast Parkway is an expressway that runs along the southeastern coast of Singapore. Marina Bay was very calm that night, no wind, no ripples in the water. What a sparkling shot.

National Day Rehearsals Bay East Garden Marina Bay, Singapore

It is fireworks season here in Singapore! In the run up to Singapore's National Day (9 of August) there will be fireworks every Saturday. After viewing a fair number of Independence day fireworks, I have decided to post my own take of fireworks, here in Singapore.

Must view it large (for all the juicy details!): www.flickr.com/photos/jcheaphotography/7526852972/sizes/k...

This composition is slightly different than my previous shots of the area because the Garden's by the bay is finally open!! Another photographer's playground that I hope to explore next week. Anyways, more on the shot now, this shot took my a day to process (seriously!). It is made up of 4 individual shots combined into a panorama, plus 2 extra exposures for the fireworks. Incorporating the fireworks into the blue hour panorama was definitely a challenge. Hope you guys enjoy my hard work :)

4 exp pano, 2 exp for fireworks and edited in Photoshop! Comments and constructive criticism are welcomed!

Went with a friend to the east side of Marina Bay. We were standing just on the lower part of the bank. I don't know what it was, but some bugs gave me some nasty bites.
