A more traditional day in the Scottish hills, cloud shrouding the tops, occassional rain and patches of brightness. This is the view from Beinn an Lochain in the 'Arrochar Alps' looking down to Loch Restil and the the Rest and Be Thankful pass. Beinn an Lochan is a bit like a broken paving slab stuck edge on into the ground, with vertiginous views like this one down to the valley below. One of those little dots by the road way down there is my car! Looking across the valley is the Munro Beinn Ime with its head in the clouds, in the centre is Beinn Luibhean, and to the right is the quite wonderful Cobbler.
Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Glen Kinglas!
Most notably Clive Griffiths.
