Remake of an architectural Hamburg highlight shot in 2017. Dockland is an office building that is modeled on the shape of a ship and is located in the Altona district.

The Speicherstadt in Hamburg, is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927.
The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009 the district and the surrounding area is under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it has been awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.

The Holsten Gate (1464) is the best known of the two remaining city gates of Lübeck. It has grown to be the symbol of this city that was once known as the Queen of the Hanseatics. Since 1987 it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lübeck is also known for its great marzipan.
Mit dem "Irix 11mm f/4" habe ich es endlich geschafft das Hamburger Rathaus frontal aufs Bild zu bekommen.

The contrast program continues. As we can't travel at the moment, I spend quite a lot of time digging in old material and reworking some of my old favorite photos. Recently I was browsing through some Hamburg photos here on Flickr, wich reminded me on this unique evening wich I spent photographing the gorgeous Speicherstadt. I've already posted this photo here, but I thought I could do it better. This came out. Hope you like it.
