The Holsten Gate (1464) is the best known of the two remaining city gates of Lübeck. It has grown to be the symbol of this city that was once known as the Queen of the Hanseatics. Since 1987 it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lübeck is also known for its great marzipan.
