Another unbelievably photogenic vista from Page, AZ. This was a very popular destination and its so cool that its located right of Rt 89 just about a mile or so away from the parking lot. Just a piece of advice though if you are coming from the Grand Canyon national park, Rt 89 North is closed and under construction for some time and if you want to get to page you will have to take a detour on Rt 89t. The entrance to the detour is pretty easy to miss as there are no elaborate signs. I used Google maps street view to note that there was a Express gas station where you take the detour. The phone reception in these parts of the country is pretty sketchy so it’s nice to prepare before in hand.
As I said before I didn’t had access to a tripod so this shot was taken handheld with a higher ISO and combining about 15 images together. I used a Sing Ray polarizing filter to bring out the warmth and the color of the water as it was an overcast day. I am not a 100% convinced with the results and would love to visit the place again and try with better equipments. Hope that opportunity comes soon.
Thanks for visiting and hope everyone is having a wonderful pre holiday week.

The last time we were at Page and visited horseshoe bend out in the middle of nowhere, the weather did not cooperate and we had a less than stellar sunset. This time though we had a beautiful sunset but a huge number of people. So getting a shot without people n the frame was nearly impossible. Here is a stitch pano shot made of about 7imagestaken in portrait mode and stitched together to give an ultra wide perspective. It was quite dark by the time I made this shot and hence I had to do a bit of over exposing to get everything in.
Hope you all like it thanks for visiting.
