Same procedure as last time. Still going through the archives and still finding images worth processing. Again a first version, tomorrow or at the weekend I'll take a final look and do a print to see if I need to refine.
This year we went to the same place but the light didn't come close to what I saw that morning, one year ago. I will try again next year :-)
cheers
Edit: fixed the saturation a bit. Now it's more natural I think
A little earlier at the same day.

A wonderful morning at Geroldsee in the german Alps. I waited many years to capture this scene in such conditions and I'm glad I waited this morning although it first didn't look like it would happen.

It's not often that I process one of my photos as bw. But for this photo bw is just perfect. It was a rainy, misty evening at lake Gerold, one year ago. The last photo I took that evening and now as I went through the archives I found it again. I already thought about bw when taking this shot. There wasn't much color anyway, just light and shadow.
Even if I usually prefer colors, I like this one a lot!

This morning I was not lucky with the sky. But the shadows of the cabins and the hummocks made a good atmosphere

Glowing Mt. Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain glowing in the morning light, seen from lake Geroldsee
My favourite view of the Karwendel. Lake Gerold as usual. Since it was so cold that morning I didn't use my filters here but did some normal bracketing and blending. More work than with filters but I didn't want to fumble around with them in the cold.
I also did some focus stacking for the corners. Though the tamron 24-70 is very sharp and also better in the corners than my canon 16-35mm at the same focal length I needed some slight blending since shooting f/8 here.
And speeking of focus stacking. I was guest in a Podcast where we were talking about it.

A beautiful summer evening at lake Gerold in Bavaria.
From last summer. Last light at lake Gerold.
Tech: some multiple exposures needed for dri and focus stacking. Quite some work for a clean result.
