I spent 2 evenings photographing the Sunset at the arch on Albandeira beach. In the first one, previously posted, there were no clouds. Three days later there was this small smattering of clouds.

Another spectacular location at the Algarve in Portugal. I hadn't seen many serious photos of this view before our stay in Benagil, but google maps suggested an interesting coastline, so I went exploring. With an incomming storm and the setting sun it was quite a show when those large waves exploded on the rocks. Soon after it began to rain but our house was just 15 minutes by foot along the coast :-)

The wonderful view along Praia da Marinha during an intense Sunrise. It took me one week to get this photo. First there was the scouting and some test shots the day after we arrived at the algarve. The next three mornings I got up there early to photograph a decent sunrise but instead I got drenched two times and the third attempt ended in ok light, but nothing fully satisfying. So I went back there a fourth time on the last day of our vacation and was served this display of light.

I was so happy to witness this!

Early last year I visited the Algarve during a photo tour by www.paulosilvalandscapephotography.com. It made me fall in love with Portugal. Now I am looking forward to returning and this time doing a phototour with Paulo of the nort-west area including Porto, Aveiro and the coast (24-28 Nov). Praia Da Marinha Portugal

One of my favourite photos of last year. I took it at Praia da Marinha during a memorable sunrise. Four times I went to this location to capture sunrise, two times I got wet, one time I got decent light and on the fourth morning I got extraordinary light.

Moments like these are the reason why I never have problems getting up early to head to a location. Even if 9 out of 10 times the magic doesn't happen, when it does it's such an additctive feeling that will get me out of bed the next 10 times ;-)

Sunset at one of the famous cliff beaches in the Algarve region of Portugal. This was shot during a tour with www.paulosilvalandscapephotography.com.

I have just returned from a photo tour in the Algarve lead by Paulo Silva. Three days of photographing spectacular cliffs and rocks along the beautiful coast, at sunrise and sunset.
