I was in Limburg an der Lahn recently to photograph the beautiful cathedral. Next morning, before sunrise, I couldn’t resist taking this photo, for my album: ‘View from my hotel window’. It is the old Lahn bridge with guard house tower.
With the opening of borders we ventured abroad. This is about a 4 hour drive from my home, and I found the beautiful Romanesque cathedral of Limburg an der Lahn bathed in warm sunset light under a colourful sky.

Our bicycle trip this July took us to the Lahn river (Hesse, Germany). We started in the well known student city of Marburg and cycled down to Koblenz on the Rhine. Weilburg, a cozy, worth seeing town was our second stop.
