What is your approach? Just curious, do you have any specific plan when it comes to posting on Instagram or any social media platforms? I personally have non. The only thing a like to do is to post one black and white image after four color images. Editing in BNW makes me break my usual routine and I think it makes my feed looks nicer. What do you think?
Any big Friday plans? We don’t have one neither but hey, weather is going to be good and we will be out. I guess that can be considered as plan as well. This is a throwback from a last years Feb weekend :) What do you think?
You might be wondering how all this came about? This was one of those perfect mornings that started as a complete chaos! At the very end, low hanging clouds and sun cutting the thick fog at the horizon were enough to make me forget all occurring problems I was having at that time. Without going in too many details I will let the view speak for it self. What do you think?
Always concentrate on how far you have come, rather than how far you have left to go. The difference in how easy it seems will amaze you. —Heidi Johnson
Have you chase down any storms this season. After a long week of storms I ventured out with a few friends hoping to get some morning sunshine trough a thick layer of clouds. That never happened unfortunately but the light and atmosphere before and after the sunrise that day were outstanding. This is a shot 45 minutes before the sunrise overlooking the South Lagoon. What do you think?
Throwback? After all this moody weather I’m still in that mood so let’s go back to some past storms! As I’m always looking for sunrise, sunset, or anything in between I have passed this location numerous times waiting for something interesting to happen. You just have to be here when the conditions are right. That evening was really special! It was moody, and I was anticipating a change in the sky after the monsoon rain. I was all wet and I knew I had to find a shelter and wait, so I did. And than it all finally happened! What do you think?
“What struck me, as I walked up and down the history of painting, was how much it was about fading light, and that the history of painting is also the history of the loss of light. For slowly but surely… the light is squeezed out of painting to become finally a mere candle-flicker. A world once full of light becomes a world of shadows.” – Ian McKeever
Hope your week started good. Weather here in Chicago is back to rain and gray, but hey weekend was awesome! Since I’m still under the impression here is one of my sunrise frames from yesterday. A little color on this gray morning. What do you think?

How did you start your day? Weather on this side of the globe is still looking good and the fact that there is no free time to actually enjoy it is really frustrating! To keep everything on a bright side I can tell you a funny story. While trying to capture this frame I was really close to raging Lake Michigan. For a while I managed to monitor crazy waves and not get wet. But for one second I got relaxed and that same second a wave crashed behind me and hit me with the full force leaving me completely soaked. I still think it was good to be out. What do you think?

I’ve heard stories about weather in Chicago, and today I was able to experience so many extremes weather wise that I had to stay outside the entire day and shoot more than 10 hours, on several different locations. I was deliberating on going back to this location tonight because of the storm that was brewing. Boy, I’m glad I did! In just under two hours I was able to witness the crazy thunderstorms , double rainbow and the sunset that was beyond anything I saw before. I hope I was able to manage to capture everything and I can’t wait to show it to you. For the beginning, this is a lucky shot of the lightning that was an opening for this crazy evening. What do you think?
Have you been chasing light last night? I sure had my hopes high and at the end in the typical Chicago style sunset changed it’s course and the color didn’t hit with the full potential. But I am happy with the final result. As you can see I went with the long exposure this time just because I was able to find my ND’s after six month search. And guess what? They were hiding in the plain site all this time :) What do you think?
Recently I had an opportunity to see the world through a totally different viewfinder, and I loved it!. It is not something new, but I find it very exciting. I was curious to see what I can do with it. What do you think?

It was a beautiful September morning a little after sunrise out on the break water at North Avenue Beach.
Did you have fun yesterday? While getting up at 4am wasn’t as fun initially, going out and being greeted with this light was amazing. It was an early start with the preparation for the Air & Water show 2019 so to set the mood for the entire day was easy after this experience. What do you think?

Is it time to say goodbye? It feels like it slowly coming to an end. I really did enjoy it. This is the last bit of ice I was trying catch just a few day back….. I’m slowly getting excited about spring and a change on the horizon. How do you feel?

You heard this one before? I always get a good laugh when I hear people being surprised with the snow storm in December. I was also pretty bummed when I saw that the snow finally arrived and I wasn’t able to be out and enjoy it! This is a frame from the last, long and cold winter just for todays mood. It was shot from the one and only NA Beach. What do you think?
Is it already over? Judging by today’s temperature it certainly feels like it! But I’ve heard that there is some more snow coming in this weekend so we should all get ready for some more shooting and fun. This is the early morning shot from Saturday at the N.Avenue Beach. What do you think?

Are you looking around yourself? While trying to get a completely different composition at that time, I was struggling to get the cityscape in focus because I was shooting from a far and the haze and the atmosphere near the city was making it impossible to nail the focus. I was pretty frustrated because the weather was great and dramatic but I was missing the shots! So to try to save the day I was walking back and forth to see what else I can do. I small crack in the blue sky just showed up and it got wider very fast. This scene unfolded very fast and it lasted for entire 5 min. The light shined upon that structure and at that time I didn't know what that structure in the distance actually is. After a little research I find out that is one of the old crib lighthouses and it dates all the way from 1800's. All until I got home I didn’t realize that this would be my favorite shot from that session. What do you think?
Did you thought that it’s over to? I kinda got my hopes high that it is. But I guess we will still have to wait for a bit till that happens. I captured this light leak few weeks back. All the apps were predicting crazy color for this sunrise so I went out before my work. I might say that it wasn’t as I expected but it was pretty good. What do you think?
