Took this from just inside the gate of the Army Firing Range, hence the title. From the top of Castlelaw Hill looking over to Turnhouse, Carnethy, Scald Law, East and West Kip Hills with the reservoirs of Glencorse and Loganlea nestling at the bottom.

Or maybe Crichton Castle, just outside Pathead, Midlothian. Although the family history of those that built and lived here are every bit as interestign as the Starks of Winterfell from the Game of Thrones series of novels. Murder, intrigue and plots against the Crown, its all here!

Or paid a fleeting visit would be more accurate. More rain has probably washed away the snow from Crichton Castle and its environs. :-(
