Do you like to shoot at night? This shot is from one of the hot summer nights of 2016. I was aimlessly roaming the downtown area trying to cool down and look for some new perspectives to photograph the Crown Fountain. City lights, reflections, and a father with two kids were there in the right time. So I ended up with this frame. What do you think?

Hope you are all having a great day? Here is my attempt to recreate iconic shot of Chicago. This skyline views are very impressive and I really enjoy spending time here. The idea was to wait for a perfect opportunity to get the photograph I wanted. The plan was to shoot with the infrared camera on a cloudy day so I can get that strong contrast I’m always going for and get those wind painted clouds only possible using Sony’s in camera app or manually blending exposures. I prefer that method because cloud movement looks more dramatic in my opinion. What do you think?

Monochrome anyone? It’s been a while since I posted something in BW and I was craving that feeling all this time. I will use this opportunity to throw a new idea out there. Since I’m working in a background on a group of monochrome edits for a while I’m contemplating on starting another channel on Instagram dedicated only to my BW work. I just want to separate the work so both feeds have a cohesive look and the similar theme. I’m leaving on a month long trip in a few days and I will take that time to think hard on this subject, I would also love to hear your thoughts. I’m excited for so many reasons and I hope that I will manage to come back with some great photography. While away I might not be able to be as active as I want to on social media platforms so hopefully we can continue this journey, with the same excitement and intensity, when I come back. What do you think?

How is your week going so far? Mine is very slow to be honest. But hey, it’s not all so bad. I’m looking forward to a busy photo weekend and spending more time outdoors with my wife and a bunch of friends. Some interesting days lay ahead of us so there is a lot to look forward till nicer weather steps in. What do you think?

The Cloud Gate, The Bean.... Iconic spot in Chicago. I took my time with this one. I went there numerous times over the corse of 4 months. Mornings, evenings, etc. I finally settled down on this framing. I knew that I wanted to have traces of people included so I went for the longer exposure. I didn't know that while shooting I was able to capture these great clouds this late after the sunset. The result is 220mpx pano and this representation of the vision I had. What do you think?
