Museum de Lakenhal, Leiden, The Netherlands. Art-Deco style cupola in stained glas by J.W. Gips (1919-1922). Restored to original condition after the last restoration. www.lakenhal.nl/nl/verhaal/mecenaat_nieuws-en-hoogtepunten
The keys and the lions in the center are the coat of arms of Leiden. Around you see the coats of arms of Holland, Rijnland, Leiderdorp, Zoeterwoude, Voorschoten, Wassenaar, Oegstgeest (all cities and villages around Leiden), and the family coat of arms of the Pape family. The Pape family created a trust fund in 1922 to financially support "useful" activities. One wing of the Lakenhal museum (the Pape-wing) was built with their financial support. papefonds.nl/over-pape-fonds/historie
