Dettifoss is the most powerfull waterfall in Europe.
Selfoss
You can find this wonder a few hundred meters upstream of Dettifoss. It's a waterfall on the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum in the north of Iceland. The river drops over a number of waterfalls over about 30 km before flowing into Öxarfjörður, a bay of the Arctic Sea. The river originates as melt water the glacier Vatnajökull and therefore the water flow varies depending on the season, the weather and volcanic activity.

Along the magnificent valley of Vesturdalur, in between Ásbyrgi and Dettifoss, the highlights you must not miss are the bizarre basalt rocks at Hljóðaklettar. A series of vertical, horizontal and diagonal columns, formed by mysterious volcanic activity, standing over the ground and modeling rosettes, swirls, spirals and honeycombs, in turn give life to enormous and puzzling rock formations of distinctive shape.

Good enough for this mobile, although I missed my Sony a6000 at that moment, and many others on the following days.
This is an amazing viewpoint over the large Asbyrgi Canyon, it's tall walls and small ponds below.
Photo Tips: It's kind of tricky to capture the whole scene, even the widest ultrawide won't get it all, generally speaking you have to merge a panorama unless you'll be satisfied with just a part of the whole scenery.
I'd have preferred more Autumn look, but didn't manage to come here late enough. If you can, the second half of the September or beginning of October seems to be the best time for great golden foliage.
Getting There: It's about 4km walk from the Asbyrgi Information Center and parking.

Although it doesn't seem, this photo was taken in our planet Earth. Hljóðaklettar, a national park with a unpronounceable name, is a geological spectacle for its volcanic forms and color contrast. The combination gets a fascinating atmosphere.
