When you visit Arches National Park, you be dumbfounded, astonished, open-mouthed with the spectacle you can see. It's really a natural wonder.
This valley is the Park Avenue Trail, one of the first major attractions within Arches National Park. It is a one-mile trail that follows the bottom of a canyon at the feet of some of the park’s gigantic and well-known monoliths.

So far in our five years in the Western United States, we have been to almost all the National Parks near us and I have to say Utah’s Zion and Arches have the most scenic locations per sq km of any National Parks. I first visited Arches National Park on a frozen December night and the very next morning we drove into the park well before sunrise. Unlike any other National Park, the stunning scenery that makes this park so busy during the day comes to light merely a couple of miles into the park when you come by the courthouse rocks.
This shot is a straight on composition of the Three Gossips that I made from across the road right at the bottom of the courthouse towers. The usual viewpoint is from the side but the straight on composition really interested me with the symmetry of the cliffs surrounding the pinnacles. This was taken a bit later after the sun rose a little and nice warm light flooded the scene. This composition is a simple panorama shot with frames sharing about a 3rd with the next image. Also if you are sure that your photography will include a lot of panoramas the try to invest in a sturdy tripod and a panoramic head. Most tripod ballheads these days comes with a panoramic functionality but in my opinion, having a pano swivel at the base of the ballhead is pretty useless. If the swivel is on the base you will spend a ton of time leveling the camera and even a slight leveling error will result in wonky composition. An Ideal panoramic head will have the swivel function close to the clamp which helps to level the head even if the tripod is not perfectly level. I personally use an Arca Swiss monoball p1 and it has been a great head for the past eight-plus years.
