Another shot from my latest Dubai Fog series.

For people living in other latitudes, it's quite normal to see the sun setting on the horizon. But here in Dubai, most of the time the sun will disappear 10 minutes before sunset, hidden by a layer of dust.
Hence today was quite an exceptional sunset, and I was lucky to be on the 85th floor of the Princess Tower, which has one of the best view of the Palm Island.

The tallest tower in this view is Damac Heights with 335 meters. The tower under construction on the right (which kind of spoils the composition) is the future Ciel Tower with 356 meters. When it is completed it will look awesome. Shot from the 90th floor of Princess Tower, 414 meters high. And it's not even the highest tower of Dubai Marina
Panoramic view of Dubai Marina and all its glitter and extravaganza! Shot from the balcony of an apartment located on the 90th floor.
Shot from the world's tallest residential building, the Princess Tower in Dubai Marina. I was on the 84th floor, the building has 101 floors.

It's fog season in Dubai! But it only lasts for 3 days or so. This was shot from the 85th floor of the Princess Tower in Dubai Marina.
It is a Vertical Panorama shot with the D800 & Nikkor 14-24mm HDR tonemapped with Oloneo PhotoEngine
My dear friends, sorry for not visiting your streams recently. I have been ramping up my photography activities in Dubai (giving workshops, selling prints, shooting for a book, Facebook), and my 'official' job still keeps me busy. Hence not much time left for commenting your photos.

Dubai Marina is a canal city, carved along a two mile (3 km) stretch of Arab Gulf shoreline. It has been my home for the past four and a half years now.
