Después de viajar al sur desde La Paz durante cientos de kilómetros, este es el destino final, detrás del volcán está Chile y el desierto de Atacama. Realmente es difícil llegar a este lugar, prácticamente no hay mapas y en el caso de contar con un todo terreno, como era nuestro caso, es realmente complicado orientarse por los caminos inhóspitos de esta zona, pasando por lugares a 5000 metros de altitud, por ello es más prudente contratar un tour desde Uyuni, con guías que se conocen la zona.
Aquí se respira paz y quietud, el cielo es limpio y el reflejo del volcan sobre la laguna, sin un solo atisbo de onda en el agua, es realmente impactante. Desde aquí se inicia el regreso al norte, hacia Uyuni y desde aquí a La Paz. Sin duda merece la pena llegar hasta aquí.
