I was doing a spot of archive mining, and thought this might add a bit of variety to my recent set of images. The Fairy Pools of Skye are a familiar and iconic location, and for good reason. A set of cascades leading down from the finest mountain range in these Isles - the Black Cuillin.This shot was taken towards to the top of the cascades, at a moment when the sun came out and lit up the foreground, whilst the mountain tops were still draped in heavy cloud. I would recommend visiting out of season, at the height of summer, this place is swarming with people! Fortuantely on the day I visited, there were only a handful of folk sharing the magnificent view.

On a stormy day on the Isle Of Skye this is a view from North West of Sligachan. This is Marsco, the finest of the Red Hills.
This is one of my favourite mountains on the Isle Of Skye. It is Marsco, one of the Red Hills. It translates as Seagull Hill in English.

The Lealt River falls off a cliff near the settlement of Tote in Totternish on the Isle of Skye. It had been raining quite a lot, so the falls were going well when Monty and I paid them a visit. Literally yards from here the river reaches the sea, just at the point where you can still see the remains of the Diatomite works - worth a Google!
