Took a trip down into Pettico Wick at St. Abbs for sunset as forecast looked pretty decent.

Pettico Wick Bay down by St. Abbs Head in the Scottish Borders. Have always wanted to shoot this place and made it down today but sadly the weather forecast didn't live up to expectations. Looks like a return journey is on the cards!

Peebles Scotland.
Peebles
by The Jacobite

The town of Peebles sits at the head of the Tweed Valley just 23 miles from Edinburgh and 40 miles from Glasgow. Not surprisingly, it is a popular destination for a day trip from these cities. It has a bustling High Street full of individual shops with a lovely Scottish feel to it. Some of the best mountain biking in the world can be found a short distance away from the town in Glentress Forest.

by The Jacobite

Lessudden House, St. Boswells, Scottish Borders. is a grand, four-storey former peel tower for Melrose Abbey, the house was rebuilt around its ancient core in the late 16th century, having been destroyed by the invading armies of Henry VIII in 1544. In the 17th century, the house was bought by the Scotts of Raeburn and was home to Sir Walter Scott’s uncle and aunt’s family for 300years. Sir Walter Scott himself was a regular visiter to Lessudden House.

Sunrising

St. Abbs Head light house early on Sunday morning as the sun rises off to the right over St. Abbs itself. Wish I'd got here an hour earlier if I'm honest but still happy with this as it is.

The Waterloo Monument
The Waterloo Monument
by The Jacobite

The Waterloo Monument near Ancrum in the Scottish Borders is a 150-foot tower, built between 1817 and 1824 to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo. It was designed by the architect Archibald Elliot, after the original monument collapsed. The monument stands on a small Plateau, atop the 781ft hill “Peniel Heugh”. Inside the monument is a 228 step spiral staircase (not for the faint hearted) leading to the balcony which encircles the top of the tower, giving a superb 360deg view of the surrounding Scottish Borders countryside.

Stumbled upon Leaderfoot Viaduct in the Borders on way back from Scotts View and thought it would be worth a shot!

Return, I did!
Scott's View
by Damon Finlay

Little bit of Yoda speak there in the title! Scotts View, got down the hill for the view of the river bends this time. Took a few wrong turns and followed the wrong paths through the Gorse and have the scratches and scrapes to prove it but for this view it was all worth it!

Took a trip back down to the "Secret Harbour" (the one that EVERYONE knows about!) for sunrise today, 4a.m. start!!! Knackered but going to have that glass of wine I couldn't have last night! That silver pick-up truck seems to be there in every pic I take down here!

Unidentified Floating Object

Taken down at the Megget Water Reservoir. The structure almost looks like its floating or hovering over the water hence the title, alternative title was "It's less bovver with a hover!" :-D

Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Scottish Borders!
Most notably Damon Finlay, Lenis Las, Quentin 'Q' Thompson and The Jacobite.
