Houses in the protected centre of the old copper mining town of Røros. Even though it looks like an open air museum, people do live in these homes.

It still looks pretty grey and grim here in the Netherlands, but in Norway Winter has really shown itself. So here a Winter photograph from the copper mining town of Røros, one of Norway's places on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Mining went on for over 300 years and closed down in 1977. Today some 4000 people live in this town.
