Spanish Synagogue

The Spanish Synagoge
Spanish Synagogue
by Mueed Ahmed

The Spanish Synagoge in Prague was built in the year 1868. The synagogue is inspired from the Moorish style that had been greatly influenced by Spanish architecture. Moorish elements were favored by Jewish communities and employed in reform synagogues. The western façade practically screams Moorish. The interior was designed at the end of the 19th century.
