Soon my work will take me to Scandinavia again and I look forward to my next visit of this beautiful city. There are so many amazing viewpoints here, but this one from Monteliusgatan is perhaps the best.

It was an raining day but what I see in the evening was something spectacular. A swimming pool installed directly on the sea where people during the summer can swim with all the comfort needed.

Typical Sweden
Typical Sweden
by Adelheid Smitt

The village of Sundborn, where painter Carl Larsson lived, is in the heart of Dalarna, and to me this is quintessential Sweden. The trees, the lake and the pretty red houses is as typical Swedish as you can get.

This is one from the archives. I posted this photo before, but have now edited it differently, so the colours look quite different than before. I wonder what your reactions will be.

Turning Torso, Malmö, Sweden
Turning Torso, Malmö, Sweden

I really love the architectural works of Santiago Calatrava. The turning torso was built in 2005 as a mixed use residential tower. It is set in a new residential development area of the city and is the only high rise building there. It is also currently the highest building in Scandinavia (190.5 m).

It was an raining day but what I see in the evening was something spectacular, one of the best landscape I ever see in my travel along Denmark and Sweden. The oresund bridge was there inconsistently an a boat remember us that there was the north sea.

Stone Bridge, Karlstad, Sweden
Stone Bridge, Karlstad
by Adelheid Smitt

For my work I often stay overnight in Karlstad, and have for a long time been meaning to photograph this bridge. Finally I got round to it, but I had no idea it would be so colourfully lit up. It's claim to fame is being Sweden's longest stone bridge, built some 200 years ago. The post in the foreground is one of many that was in use when log floating still took place on the Klara River.

Sunset in Northern Sweden
Northern Sweden
by Adelheid Smitt

I was driving south along the Innlandsvägen, all the kilometers from Karesuando to Östersund. Many miles of forests and open spaces, and at times quite boring, right until this Sunset moment, when a layer of mist started appearing on the fields and some beautiful colours in the sky and on the snow.
