The Bund ( 外滩) is a waterfront area in central Shanghai, China. The area centres on a section of Zhongshan Road (East-1 Zhongshan Road) within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing Pudong, in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on this section of the road, as well as some adjacent areas. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai.
From time to time, I drop in my feed a cityscape, and most of the time, it is a photo of Shanghai which I loved so much (China, Shanghai, Sept20)
Pudong is home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone and the Shanghai Stock Exchange and many of Shanghai's best-known buildings, such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building, the Shanghai World Financial Center. It is also the site of the future Shanghai Tower. These modern skyscrapers face directly across from Puxi's historic Bund, the remnant of Shanghai's former concessions.
陆家嘴金融贸易区是中国上海其中一个主要的金融中心区,位于浦东新区黄浦江畔,面对上海外滩。
Thanks to all Phoide contributors to The Bund!
