As is often the way, the weather improves just as you have start the long journey home.... 4.50am and a few minutes into the 500 mile journey back home, I could not miss this final opportunity to capture the wonderful view across Loch Clair. The first light is picking out Sgurr Dubh on the left, whilst Liathach is still brooding in the gloom on the right. Torridon at it's best, I'll be back.

Looking northwards out of Coire Mhic Fhearchair towards the mountainous landscape of Torridon.
The dramatic peaks of Sail Mhor, on the west of Beinn Eighe, looming over the placid lochan within Coire Mhic Fhearchair.
The fishermans hut on the bank of the Lochan an Iasgair catches a brief splash of sunlight, the cliffs of Liathach towering above. Torridon is such a spectacular place, and Liathach is rightly the centrepiece. A sandstone giant that rises more than 3000 feet straight up above the valley floor. The knife edge ridge along the top is one of the finest on the Scottish mainland.

Maol Chean Dearg as seen from the summit of Beinn na h'Eaglaise on a 'changeable' day. Maol Chean Dearg was caught in a brief patch of sunlight that lit up the 'Bald red Hill'. Torridon is a remarkable area.
Another 'trip back' to October last year - A rather special morning at Loch Clair, Torridon. Nice light, still water, low cloud and reflections. ...
One of my more 'successful' Flickr images from 2015 was 'Private', a small cottage/boathouse on the shore of Lochan an Lasgair, Torridon. I took 2...
