Tre Cime di Lavaredo, also known as the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, is a stunning mountain range located in the Dolomites of northeastern Italy. These three distinct peaks, standing at over 9,800 feet tall, are a popular destination for hikers, climbers, and photographers alike. The jagged peaks and dramatic landscapes of Tre Cime offer endless opportunities for capturing breathtaking photos. Some of the most popular photography locations include the iconic view from Rifugio Locatelli, the crystal-clear waters of Lago di Misurina, and the panoramic views from the summit of Monte Paterno.

Tre Cime de Lavaredo vue depuis l'est.
As seen from Rifugio Locatelli
This is the first photo of a series made recently in this amazing area of the north of Italy, the Dolomites, where splendid and singular mountains can be found.
For 8 days my friends Gonzalo Gutiérrez, Jose Francisco López and Ricardo Alonso and me walked through these mountains trying to capture some of its beauty. I hope you like it. I recommend you to visit their galleries, I´m sure you will enjoy.
In this case we walked up to the Locateli refuge, with our about twelve kg of photographic equipment to try the sunset and the sunrise of this known area of Tre Cime di Lavaredo. There where no options in the sunset because the clouds and the fog continuously covered the three famous mountains but in the sunrise we had some more opportunities and this is one of the shots.
