Krka Waterfall, Croatia
Krka Waterfall, Croatia
by Adelheid Smitt

This was my first attempt at photographing a waterfall with long exposure. It wasn't easy to find a good spot, as many spots had shrubbery in front and the best spots were from a wooden bridge that trembled every time people walked over. Finally I managed to secure a stable spot just under the bridge, with the tripod standing in the water! Krka is a national park in central Croatia and is becoming more and more known to the public, attracting increasing numbers of visitors. It is a beautiful park with a walkway that meanders between the rapids and the waterfalls eventually leading to this one, the biggest fall of them all.
