Autumn at the Ahornboden
Großer Ahornboden
by Walter Maurer

Although I'm focused on editing my Madeira photos right now, I mustn't forget that there is a colorful autumn taking place on my doorstep. So I took the chance to go to the "Großer Ahornboden", wich is most beautiful in autumn. Only for a few days the trees show their intense yellow color. This one has a certain beauty even without leaves, and with this background I thought it was worth a shot.

Salfeinssee
Salfeinssee
by Walter Maurer

The hidden lake
Berglsteiner See
by Walter Maurer

I just love this place and enjoy its colors, reflections and atmosphere each time I come here. Also try to find new compositions like this one. The restaurant has lately been completely renovated and has lost some of it's charm, because of the new wood, but I'm sure this will come back soon. HDR + focusstack.

Back to my town Innsbruck with some architectural stuff. At blue hour I like to stroll the area near the station, around the so called "Pema" towers. The reflecting glass facade attracts me over and over again. Still the perfect light tracks are missing in this shot. Using the Fuji X-T3, 16mm prime-lens with a panorama head makes it hard to catch constant light tracks at multiple exposures. I'll try again!

Magic of the Alps
Magic of the Alps
by Michael

More than one year I had to wait to take this photo. Last year when I was up there with some fellow photographers I did take no serious photo because of the awefull weather we had. We spent most of our time hiking through clouds, rain and snow and scouted the area, but didn't take out our cameras very often.

So I went back there last weekend and this time I got lucky with the weather :-)

Innsbruck - light and shadow II
Innsbruck

(Wikipedia)

Lichtenwerth castle
Lichtenwerth castle
by Walter Maurer

The well-preserved Lichtenwerth Castle near Brixgegg was built in the 12th century and was originally located on an island in the river Inn. Today it is privately owned and unfortunately can only be viewed from the outside. Still a beautiful sight, especially on a spring evening like this one.

Innsbrucker Hofgarten

At least one visit at the "Innsbrucker Hofgarten" in autumn is a must. I just love this view of the pavilion with the yellow chestnut trees and the nice reflections in the pond beside. Tried to get som of the leaves in focus this time. 2 shots focus stacked, HDR.

Triumpfpforte
Triumphpforte
by Walter Maurer

With this atmospheric view of the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck, I would like to thank all of my friends, followers and visitors to my Flickr site and wish them a Merry Christmas and good luck and health for the new year. Innsbruck

This row of colorful facades is probably the best known view of Innsbruck. Photographed millions of times and yet always a charming motif. The fresh winterly colors and the graffity under the bridge, wich I noticed for the first time, made me pressing the shutter.

I have to Interrupt my intense Corsica travel revue with something really current. Fortunately we can find wonderful nature experience without travelling far, right here in Tirol. This panorama from the top of the Patscherkofel with the broadcasting station, a part of Innsbruck in the lower right corner and of course that awesome sky, was the reward for a 3-hours ski tour. Not the most common view of Innsbruck old town. A 180 degree panorama at the corner of "golden roof". Sorry for the absurd distortion, I should have taken some more time to fix this.

autumn in the mountains

Even if a little late, I finally made it to my favorite autumn photo spot. The snow wich has fallen a week ago took something away from the color harmony of this unique larch forest but nevertheless it was a beautiful hike. Now the winter can come.

Back to Tirol and another evening walk. At the last light of dusk I found this beautiful lookout near Rinn. Looking north across the Inn valley you can see the striking mountain named Bettelwurf in the back and some houses of the town named Hall in Tirol.

Light tracks always attracted me strongly within the last years and this place just waited to be photographed once. I passed so many times before I took the chance today. I blended three shots to get more light tracks.
