This is quite a well known photo spot, and one that I had on my wishlist for many years. The sunset wasn't quite as colourful as I hoped for, but I'm pleased with the result nonetheless. The Koppelpoort is a medieval city gate from the 15the century marking the entrance to the central city of Amersfoort. It crosses the river Eem. I was here several years ago in the winter, and I think I have improved on the original photo (www.flickr.com/photos/adelheids-pictures/38358212194)
The AFAS Theatre in Leusden is a huge entertainment complex that was opened early 2021 in the town of Leusden, near Utrecht.

The new Royal Dutch Mint moved from the city of Utrecht to its new location in spring 2020. The modern, gold coloured building is a striking work of architecture.
The AFAS Theatre is a brand new and enormous entertainment complex in the town of Leusden near Amersfoort. My previous photo was a blue hour taken from the other side of the building. The sculpture represents 2 hands; a woman's and a man's hand, together caring for the future of our planet.
